Balobedu menwaneng refers to lobedu people in gauteng, in the early days when ever one migrated to johannesburg for work they would say he is following his fingers, they would say that because before you could come to gauteng you would have to register with the bantustan migration office and therefore have your finger prints taken. so it came to be that lobedu people  in gauteng got called "balobedu menwaneng". see the blog to find out more about the lobedu people and their connection to my work.
